Project Description
OATA (Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association)
OATA is a trade association whose objective is to protect and promote the interests of all those engaged in the ornamental aquatic trade. It seeks to enhance the reputation of the trade, provide good education and training through best practice, and encourage responsible ownership amongst fish keepers.
OATA required a printed report and accompanying website in order to promote the positive benefits that the trade in wild caught fish can bring. We successfully produced a dual-channel report (website and print) which was purposely infographic and image heavy for a global audience. It was very well received by stakeholders, and gained a finalist spot in the TAF annual membership awards.
We handed Rubicon quite a difficult task – to turn our somewhat jumbled ideas and words into a document to print and a digital report that could be shared easily on email and across social media.
We had a good idea about what we wanted. But we needed a guiding hand, creative ideas and some copywriting help to cut through the mass of information we’d pulled together to tell our story about the benefits that come from catching live ornamental fish from the wild. Rubicon certainly responded to our challenge and did a great job, producing a beautiful report that’s drawn praise from our industry across the world. We are very pleased with the result.
