Project Description
The problem
The integration of a number of disparate sub-group websites a year previously was always going to be a challenging task and whilst this was achieved, feedback from the key stakeholders shortly after launch was that the new site wasn’t fully achieving its goals in terms of design, user experience, content and language.

Putting the customer first
We sought to make the website more engaging and user-centred by asking: ‘Who will use this site? Why are they here? How will they use the site?’ These answers provided firm foundations from which we could create a better multi-user experience which is intuitive, informative and ultimately meets the users’ needs.
We revised the content; paring some down, adding additional content and re-ordering and rewriting other parts to create more of a ‘narrative’. A website works best when it reads like a story, which is something people are hard-wired to respond well to and will engage with. We also changed the language in places, including removing industry terminology and replacing it with more conversational text.
The previous site analytics and the new content also helped us to put in place a suitable SEO strategy.
The results
“I have just seen the new website and wanted to congratulate you and the team on a great job! It’s clean, concise, logical and I can see that a lot of hard work has gone into it. Well done to everyone involved. You should seriously consider doing this for a living!”
Paul Swindon, Company Secretary British Association of Removers
“Wow, that looks different, the new style and feel, really wants you to engage, I think this will now give the two functional groups more confidence, this is a massive step forward, and well done to all involved.”
Nigel Shaw, BAR Commercial Moving Group Chairman
